Ritar Power announced on 27 April 2008, that its third manufacturing facility, Hengyang Ritar Power Corp., Ltd. celebrated the commencement of its Phase 1 trial production lines, the output ＆#118alue of which is expected to reach 600 million RMB. In Ritar’s strategic planning, after the full operation of Phase 2 and 3 production lines, Ritar will be specialized in making products for electric vehicle, solar power and wind power.

As the first nonferrous metal project in Hengyang city, the commercial production of Hengyang Ritar will accelerate the industrial integration and industrial chain expansion. At the commencement ceremony, Hu Jiada the chairman of China Ritar Power Corp. commented, "There is a long history in SLA battery development. Low production cost integrated with Ritar’s advanced technique and patent technology meets the requirements of developing energy-saving and environment-friendly industries. Based on the advantage of rich local lead mining sources, Ritar processes and assemblies SLA batteries locally to increase products’ added ＆#118alue and competitive ability on the market. Phase 1 production lines are specialized in battery assembling. After Phase 2 and 3 production lines are put into full operation, we will focus on environment friendly feature, expand the production scale of electric vehicle and its associated industry projects, and develop solar power and wind power series products."
